02 / SELECTED WORK

Ideas are good. Built is better.

Selected projects connecting software with the day-to-day work of mortgage lending. Built from real operational questions.

01 / MORTGAGE INFRASTRUCTURE

Demand Conversions

A CRM built around the realities of lending.

Demand Conversions grew out of a problem I knew firsthand as a loan originator: keeping track of opportunities and knowing what needed to happen next. As South River Mortgage grew, that became a shared operational challenge.

The approach

The system connects the early borrower conversation with the application and review process. Pricing, sales collateral, and handoffs belong in the same workflow, so teams can move a loan forward with its context intact.

Inside the work

  • Loan application flow from the initial call through credit review
  • Borrower-specific collateral and reverse mortgage pricing
  • CRM-to-LOS handoff to reduce repeated data entry
  • Appraisal and title integrations, with granular permissions and access logs

02 / DOCUMENT WORKFLOWS

Demand Signatures

Document signing with the lending workflow in mind.

Demand Signatures builds on the open-source Documenso project. The focus was adapting the signing experience to the documentation and audit requirements encountered in mortgage operations.

The approach

The project extended an existing foundation with additional consent and audit features. It reflects how I like to build: start with a useful tool, understand where the real workflow needs more, and close that gap.

Inside the work

  • An open-source foundation built on Documenso
  • Signing and consent workflows designed for mortgage use
  • Audit records to support document review
  • Launched in June 2024

03 / APPLIED ENGINEERING

FloodCert.org

A practical way to connect APIs and documents.

FloodCert.org began as a hands-on project to explore Django, ReportLab, and API integrations. It brought together a web application, external data, and generated documents in one focused tool.

The approach

Small, concrete projects make the tradeoffs visible. They create room to work directly with the interfaces, data formats, and document output that larger lending systems rely on.

Inside the work

  • Web application development with Django
  • Document generation with ReportLab
  • Working with external APIs

LET’S KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING.
