My philosophy is simple: build primarily for my own use, then gather feedback from others, and continue to iterate. With this simple cycle, I have been shocked at the effectiveness of the software we’ve built, the complete buy-in from the team, and the frictionless environment that results.
Demand Conversions
Demand Conversions is part of the software suite custom built for South River Mortgage. Demand Conversions was inspired by my time as a loan originator where I wished that I had a tracking system for my own progress. As the business grew, the need for tracking opportunities grew as well, and we built Demand Conversions to help track opportunities across 150+ employees.
Key features of Demand Conversions:
- Built-in loan application process flow from initial phone call to credit review
- Customized sales collateral for individualized borrower scenarios
- Custom-built automated underwriting system
- Ability to push loan from CRM directly to LOS, eliminating extra data entry
- Integration with appraisal management companies to send/receive documents and communication
- Integration with title companies to send/receive documents and communications
- Proprietary pricing tool for pricing reverse mortgage loan opportunities
- Strong and granular permissions system with detailed access logging
Demand Signatures
Demand Signatures was built on top of the Documenso project, which aims to provide an open source solution for document signing. However, in accordance with the E-SIGN Act, there are some missing compliance features that needed to be built in order to make the project commercially viable. In Demand Signatures (launched June 2024), we have added the missing compliance features, and will be providing Demand Signatures as a service free-of-charge to outside users.
Key features of Demand Signatures:
- Free online signature portal in compliance with E-SIGN Act
- Generates required audit log for acceptance with major investors
FloodCert.org
FloodCert.org is built as a project to better familiarize myself with Django, ReportLab, and working with APIs.
RPLOS
This is a software project, distinct from the “Demand” family of software, that will be released in Q3 2024. Details to come.
